Thank you for the software.. My phone used to get stuck when i try to send a SMS.. But after installing the patch it worked properly.. thankyou guys..

I cant install the nokia update program,it tells me there is a fault ( maybe not enough memory ) Is the another way in which i can obtain the update?

Which handset are you using and what is the exact error message you are getting when you try to install the patch?. I doubt you should face any memory problems as the patch is lightweight.

Are you trying to install the patch directly from your handset? If yes it might not work. The best way to install the patch is to first download it on your pc, then use the Nokia PC Suite to install the same on your handset.

Thanks for your reply.Im wondering if its the amount of RAM that iv got cos my pc is about 6years old and only has 240MB RAM and iv noticed on the nokia sight that the pc requirments states 256MB of RAM needed.As im trying to download the Nokia Software Updater,first a message comes up saying about the 256MB required and then another saying installation operation failed,fatal error during installation.

It might be a problem with your PC RAM indeed. However one work around for this would be to try and directly install the Nokia SMS Accelerator patch from your handset. If you have GPRS enabled on your handset, simply visit code for eternity !!! and download the respective patch from your handset directly. This did not work for me, but this approach does work for many other users. Do let me know if this solved your problem.

I ended up doing it all on my mothers computer but its highlighted that my pc is in need of an update haha.Alls good with the phone now,works great,thanks again for your help Raj.

Apologies for the delayed response. I was on vacation and hence the delay in responding back.

I am not aware of any tips / tricks to speed up the time it takes the N73 to take a photograph. However, as a good practise, you should always try to keep your mobile phone updated with the latest softwares and patches. This might help fix common problems faced by mobile phone users. Nokia provides an application called Nokia Software Updater which automates most of the software update process (similar to Windows Update). It can be downloaded from here. i have had the n73 for 2weeks the problem is if i cal someone the person cannot hear me but i can hear them. i have to swicth off and on and cal back and they can hear me.what can i do pliz.

I am not a mobile phone expert ;-) Just that I happened to get rid of this N73 SMS bug by installing the Nokia SMS Accelerator, and so I shared my experience on this website hoping it would be useful to others.

However, I would strongly suggest you to update your handset software, as that might help you fix this problem. You can visit http://europe.nokia.com/softwareupdate for more info.

i really appreciate your sharing of this program, but i truelly hate that my phone doenst shows me any use:S

But there was something different: you say: sms should take about 10 mins... mine was busy for more than 1 hour, and still didnt send the sms... then i installed the sms accelerator with Nokia PC Suite, restarted my phone, but he still tried to send the sms from the hour ago :S

help ??^^ my phone is an N73... i believe my biggest mistake :S

I have 2 n73 (not music edition). At the moment, I'm using n73 latest firmware: ver. 4.0735.3.0.2 at one of my n73s. I've installed the sms accelerator but nothing's changed, the message sending still slow. I wonder why the older firmware, ver 3 has faster message sending after installing sms accelerator.

Hey.  I have installed this sofware.  The phone is alot quicker but it has not stopped my phone taking about 9-10 mins to send a message.

My phone still takes ages to send a message even after installing this.  Ant ideas?
